Jeremy and Miffy WelshPukekos Educare is independently owned and operated by Jeremy & Miffy Welsh, who have been members of this district for over 30 years. Pukekos Educare was established in 2003 and has gained an excellent reputation both locally and nationally as an excellent pre-school service provider for both families and teachers alike.

Miffy is the licensee of the centres in charge of the Ministry of Education requirements of operating early learning centres. Miffy has been teaching for over 30 years (including being the founding member of the very first childcare in Thames), executive board member of the NZ Early Childhood Council for many years, a member of the MOE quick response team, and workshop presenter on many early childhood topics all over NZ. Miffy is a fully qualified and NZ registered teacher.

Sarah Van de Ven

Pukekos Principal, Sarah Van de Ven. She is a fully qualified, NZ registered teacher with over 10 years experience, including being a mum to two and step mum to 3 other littlies. Sarah is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the centres and teaching team.

Yvette LudwigOffice Administrator, Yvette Ludwig. Responsible for the centre administration duties and requirements, such as waiting lists, enrollments, changes to bookings, parent accounts and the like. The Office Administrator spends at least one day per week at each centre (messages can be left at the centre if you miss her on any particular day).

She will be available at;
Thames – Tuesdays 9am – 4pm
Ngatea – Wednesdays 9am – 4pm
Paeroa – Thursdays 9am – 4pm
Mondays & Fridays will be flexible.
